Annette was born and raised in Marburg, Germany. She always enjoyed traveling and her journeys took her all through South America but finally ended in the U.S. Annette settled in Florida where she married and raised two boys. It was also where she began to follow her interest in fabric and fibers and began to seriously create one-of-a-kind garments. Feeling a strong pull to the southwest, Annette moved to Taos, NM in 2002, where she established and managed her own wearable arts gallery, Artemesia, and eventually consigned 35 other artists. Annette specializes in casually elegant jackets, vests, dusters, and tunics in bold, harmonious colors. She has created over a thousand one-of-a-kind specialty wearable art garments. She was also a finalist in the national Niche Magazine Fiber competition! In 2015, Annette sold the gallery and retired to Prescott, AZ where she continues to enjoy creating her stunning works of art.
