Kevin Caron
Born in Connecticut in 1960, Caron’s multidisciplinary training in the Navy provided a grasp of space, proportion and physics that also has been deeply influenced by his perspective as a truck driver and motorcycle enthusiast. These experiences translate into sculptures that communicate through sound, texture, form and line. Although he works primarily in fabricated steel, he is also a pioneer in creating art with 3D printing. Artist Kevin Caron's inspired sculpture can be seen in public and private places from coast-to-coast, as well as overseas. His more than 45 commissions include Giant Street Urchin for the $131 million Harbourside Place development in Jupiter, Florida, and his award-winning sculpture Hands On for the city of Avondale, Arizona. In 2015, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, purchased and installed his monumental sculpture Wherever You Go, There You Are. Caron was named Sculptor of the Year by Art Trends Magazine 2012 - 2014
